Chris Abeley is a high school student at Briarwood Academy and the older brother of Layne Abeley. In The Clique (novel) and The Clique (film), he is the primary love interest of Massie Block. Prior to the start of the series, Chris was sent off to boarding school in London, but his father made him move back to Westchester after finding out that he had been partying. He rides a black horse named Tricky at Galwaugh Farms, where he and Massie first met. Massie pursues him romantically throughout the first book and movie until finding out he has a girlfriend named Fawn.
